The Brand and Lifestyle Licensing Awards kicked off in style at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel, with a Champagne reception, followed by a lavish afternoon meal and awards ceremony to reward the best in the Licensing business throughout 2022-23. BENlabs attended and worked the room!
Presented by the team at Licensing Source, the awards cover a comprehensive review of brand-licensed products, and awards for the most successful licensed product tie-ins, awards for the best retail partners, and best brand properties (IP).
About the awards
Launched in 2016, The B&LLAS gives the brand and lifestyle licensing and retail sector an opportunity to be recognized and rewarded separately from the massive character and entertainment licensing sector which is covered by The UK Licensing Awards. The B&LLAS covers licenses and licensed products featuring brands hailing from the Lifestyle, Museum & Heritage, Food & Beverage, FMCG non-food, Automotive, Media, Design-led IP, and Fashion categories.
The awards categories are sponsored by a range of companies that work within the brand and lifestyle licensing arena. The award entries are judged by a panel of experts from across the Retail and Licensing landscape well in advance of the awards ceremony.
Headline sponsor is Brand Licensing Europe and the awards are supported by Licensing International.
In attendance
Hosted by comedian and impressionist Matt Forde, this year’s event was attended by over 450 retailers, licensees, and brand owners. As in previous years, the start of the ceremony featured a presentation by a well-known branded company. This time The Style Sisters, Gemma Lilly, and Charlotte Reddington, told their story of how, in a few short years, they have turned organizing into an art form and become household names, with a growing licensing program.
