Tyler Folkman

Tyler Folkman is the Chief Technology and AI Officer at BEN Group. His team’s work explores applications of machine learning in disrupting and transforming the creator, entertainment, and marketing industries.
His team’s work has been featured in prominent news outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and he has been invited to teach and speak at many leading venues on topics ranging from technology, AI, and the creator economy.

Tyler’s work has earned multiple patents in the areas of entity resolution and knowledge extraction from unstructured data. Prior to joining BEN Group, Tyler led Ancestry’s personalization and recommendation teams and served as an Adjunct Professor of Applied Machine Learning at Brigham Young University.

Tyler holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, but sees himself as an ongoing student of leadership, passionately pursuing knowledge and science.
